St. Mark's Episcopal Church St. Mark's Espicopal Church was built by hand from 1881-6 by Henry Harrison Hunter, local inventor and late 19th century park superintendent. It was painted in traditional colors. Hunter built several other buildings along our treasure tour and his descendants are still prominent in local affairs. Notice the intricate wood shingles created by Hunter on St. Mark's. The church is often open; try the door.
