Berkeley Springs State Park is a 4-acre village green in the center of town. The historic warm mineral springs are visible in the largest display of water among Blue Ridge spas. The park is site of the annual Apple Butter Festival in October and free Saturday afternoon concerts in July and August. George Washington bathed here, and so can you. See all aspects of the park in our Treasure Tour of Berkeley Springs.

Cacapon boasts not only a lodge, lake and golf course, but also miles of mountain hiking trails including one along the top of Cacapon Mountain that concludes in George Washington's favorite ride — Cacapon Rocks. ![]()
Star Theatre is a working artifact — a Depression-era mom and pop neighborhood movie house in the center of town. It shows a new movie every weekend and has great popcorn. Miniature golf, swimming in lakes and pools, and the remarkable Paw Paw Tunnel -- largest manmade structure on the C & O Canal -- entertain the whole family.
