FEBRUARY
21st Annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Thu-Sun Feb
24-27 - More than 100 municipal and bottled waters from around the United
States and the world competing for the title of best water. Public tasting
and competition on Saturday, February 26. Professional seminar, "Water:
Our Legacy," February 25. Other tastings and specials countywide.
All staged at the historic Country Inn. Tickets required and available
free from local lodging places, businesses and by contacting 1-800-447-8797
MARCH
George Washington's Bathtub Celebration Fri-Sun Mar 18-20 ~ $1 specials
prove that Washington's face still means something in Berkeley Springs,
an official Washington Community. Museum season opening, the Washington
Heritage Trail national scenic byway and a focus on Washington's Bathtub,
the only public monument to presidential bathing are central to the celebration.

CELEBRATING THREE MONTHS OF FOOD, ART & PLEASURE
APRIL
Uniquely West Virginia and Redbud Weekend Fri-Sun April 15-17 - A daylong
wine & food tasting on Saturday April 16 features for sampling and
sale, the wide variety and high quality of vintages and foods wine produced
in the state as well as local chefs demonstrating and tasting. The Farmers
Market is at the festival on Saturday. The 18th annual Uniquely West
Virginia Wine and Food Festival is at the Old Factory Antique Mall in
downtown Berkeley Springs. All weekend long are self-guided redbud tours.
Many restaurants feature local food specials.
MAY
Quilt Month
Fri May 6 5-9pm - An Artwalk concludes in the gala opening of the annual
Delectable Mountains Quilt Guild show -- Pearls -- at the Ice House.
Also monthlong Yard Square Quilt Auction. Mothers Day weekend, May 7
and 8, features Pieceworks, a quartet of staged readings and quilt giveways.
Spring Studio Tour Sat-Mon May 28-30 - Explore the noted arts community
of Berkeley Springs with a mapped, self-guided tour of more than 25
studios and shops throughout the county. Check in at the Ice House
art center in downtown Berkeley Springs.
JUNE
Hey, Girlfriend! This Weekend's for You Fri-Sun June 3-5 in West Virginia's
most "girlie" town. Special activities for all the sisters,
cousins, college roommates and carpooling moms who choose it as a getaway
without the husbands and kids including drumming on the street, quilt
show, shop and spa specials.
JULY & AUGUST
25th annual Summer Conerts in the Park Every Saturday in July and August
at 5:30pm in Berkeley Springs State Park produced by the Morgan Arts
Council and featuring a dazzling array of jazz, roots, reggae and ethnic
music.
SEPTEMBER
4th annual Birding Festival Fri-Sun September 23-25 - Expert talks and
walks for birding as well as other outdoor adventures in various locales
around the county.
OCTOBER
38th annual Apple Butter Festival Sat & Sun October 8 & 9 - Fills
the streets and park of historic Berkeley Springs with two days of free
music, hundreds of art, craft and food vendors, old fashioned games and
contests. Star of the festival is spicy apple butter bubbling in kettles
you can stir and jarred to take home. A Blue Ribbon Festival.
Fall Studio Tour. Sat & Sun October 22 and 23. - Explore the noted
arts community of Berkeley Springs with a mapped, self-guided tour of
more than 25 studios and shops throughout the county. Check in at the
Ice House art center in downtown Berkeley Springs.
NOVEMBER
13th annual Festival of Light. Sat & Sun, Nov. 12 &13. - A psychic
fair and alternative health expo in this town marked by Mother Nature
as a sacred spot. Readers, healers, vendors, workshops and more at the
Ice House.
DECEMBER
Yule Tea at Berkeley Castle to benefit the Museum of the Berkeley Springs.
Two servings on Sunday, December 4 . Meet Rosa Suit for whom the castle
was built as a love gift in 1885.
