Racing Turtles and male facial hair are the centerpiece of two favorite games dating to the first festival in 1974. The turtle race draws nearly a dozen entries and cheering crowds at 11:00 am on Saturday. At 2:50pm in the afternoon, more than thirty men display their beards and mustaches for discriminating female judges who award prizes for the shaggiest, neatest, cutest, longest/largest, best mustache w/beard, best mustache w/out beard; to enter just take your whiskers to the bandstand.
New in 1999 was the hugely popular hog calling at 2:00pm Sunday. Come to the bandstand early to beat the crowds for this one.
Other games, contests and kid activities.
