APPLE BAKING & APPLE BUTTER CONTEST

SATURDAY OCTOBER 11

1. Any recipe which uses apples may be entered in the contest.
2. The entry form below must be submitted with your baked item(s) or apple butter on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
3. The recipe must be submitted in duplicate with the entry form on October 11. Please submit one form for each item entered. Additional forms are available at the Morgan County Extension Office or the Chamber of Commerce office.
4. The entry will be donated to Morgan County Community Educational Outreach Service (CEOS) for sale after judging has been completed.
5. Judging will be done in the following seven categories: (A) breads, muffins, rolls; (B) cakes; (C) cookies; (D) pies, pastries, apple dumplings; (E) miscellaneous; (F) apple butter; (G) sugar free; and (H) youth (grade 8 and below).
6. Enter as many as you wish. They may be in different categories or all in one category.
7. All entries must be in non-returnable containers to be accepted. Do not put a name on the container.
8. All entries must be at the Extension Office, 129 Fairfax Street, between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Judging at 10 a.m. No entries will be accepted after 9:30 a.m. on October 11.
9. Contestants may check at the Chamber of Commerce booth after 1 p.m. for placement in the contest. Ribbons for winners may be picked up at that time.
