2011 Apple Butter Memories

The 38th Apple Butter Festival in the park and streets of Berkeley Springs had perfect weather for two days, record crowds and the happiest feeling that anyone could imagine. Folks shopped, ate, participated in the games, listened to music, stirred apple butter and hung out in the park.

Make your plans to come for the 39th on Saturday & Sunday, October 6 & 7, 2012.

Everyone loves a parade and the streets fill early as folks anxiously await the local color guard.

The local talent of In Motion Dance impressed the judges enough to win the best business trophy.

The Tri State Civic band ages from 8 to 80 is always a crowd pleaser.

Music is featured at the Bandstand both days. New to the festival this year was the Hillybilly Huxters.

Vendors displayed their arts and crafts all through the park.

The festival's official Tee Shirt was a hot seller this year.

The weather was so warm that folks could enjoy resting by the waters.

There would be no festival were it not for all the local sponsors, some shown here on the park gazebo.

Grand Marshall George Washington aka Gat Caperton cruises through town in his bath tub.

It wouldn't be a parade with out the Berkeley Springs High School band. And not a one of them is out of step.
